Punakha

Punakha district, nestled in the fertile Punakha Valley, is known for its idyllic landscapes and cultural significance. The Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece, sits at the confluence of two rivers and is a prominent symbol of Bhutanese heritage. The district's rice paddies, orchards, and serene countryside offer a stark contrast to the rugged mountains surrounding it.

Punakha is also famous for the Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the "Divine Madman," where visitors seek blessings for fertility. This district's natural beauty and cultural landmarks make it a must-visit destination in Bhutan.
